My Work
When anthropologists explore various cultures, one of the legacies of a culture they examine is the art. Since the beginning of time, art has been used to depict the rich history of a civilization and to tell the stories of a people. Art has always been a means of communication. Cave art and Native American art told stories of animals, other humans and great hunts. DaVinci used his art to invent and to create images of times that might have been. Art has also been used to share and elicit emotion. The vibrant colors and vivid brushstrokes of Van Gogh brought the observer joy or sadness depending upon the piece. It is my sincere hope to add to our culture and civilization by adding beauty to the world through my art.

Artist StatementLife is a journey. At this stage of my journey, I am pleased to have rediscovered my passion for the arts. In my retirement I now have precious time to explore and develop a passion that I have long loved and admired. This website is a work in progress and is a vehicle to share what I have created thus far and will be used to share future works as well. It is my hope that as I continue to learn and grow as an artist, my work will grow in depth and skill.
